Principal Core Network Engineer

A company is looking for a Principal Core Network Engineer to provide oversight and technical leadership for its networking team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-level design and strategy plans for Backbone networks

Lead documentation, test analyses, and risk assessments to ensure robust network architectures

Mentor engineering teams and evaluate complex networking technologies for optimal solutions

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience

6+ years' experience in an ISP environment and 7+ years in designing network architectures

Expert knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, and MPLS

Extensive experience with network hardware configuration and troubleshooting

Advanced industry certifications like JNCIE or CCIE-SP preferred
