Tessera is seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to provide oversight of fleet maintenance operations. The role is responsible for mission-level planning, resource and manpower modeling, production scheduling, FMIS data integration, and ensuring maintenance execution meets technical standards, contract specifications, and quality metrics. Productivity, workplace safety, customer satisfaction, and the team's success is dependent on the leadership team position's efforts. Typical duties include but are not limited to : Core Leadership Responsibilities : Develop a strong understanding of AbilityOne and SourceAmerica programs. Uphold and embody Tessera's core values. Align team goals with Tessera's value proposition, ensuring highly engaged employees contribute to customer satisfaction. Identify and mitigate safety hazards on job sites through effective risk controls and utilize Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA). Conduct root cause analyses to promote a safe working environment and maintain adherence to Tessera's Accident Reporting process. Foster positive client interactions using effective interpersonal skills, demonstrating respect, empathy, and responsiveness.
Essential duties : Coordinate with Shop Foremen to refine mission planning, required resources, bay space, density levels, and time frames. Perform initial mission planning and provide rough order of magnitude resource estimates, brief Fleet Manager on proposed courses of action. Serve as the primary Tessera liaison to Government personnel including Soldiers, COR, QAE, and TPAs. Generate, verify, and distribute daily and weekly production reports, daily man-hour tracking, and internal / external quality metrics using FMIS data. Analyze production data to identify systemic performance barriers and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Support the Site Manager to meet profitability, efficiency, and contract performance goals; act as Site Manager when assigned. Coordinate with Supply Supervisor to provide guidance and ensure parts / materials flow to meet mission requirements. Work with FMIS Coordinator to provide system input and improve reporting and operational workflows. Troubleshoot Army technical and engineering issues for wheeled and tracked vehicles.
