Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN to join a fast-paced critical care team on nights. The RN is an essential member of the patient care team, responsible for assessing patients, administering IV medications / therapy / blood, providing patient education, and documenting all nursing actions, observations, and patient responses. The role requires critical thinking, the ability to respond to emergencies, and delivering safe, high-quality patient care across all areas of the unit, including the Emergency Center and Chest Pain Center.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
  • Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay.
  • Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood transfusions as required.
  • Deliver patient education and ensure comprehension of care instructions.
  • Document nursing care accurately in EPIC EMR.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

    • Requirements :

  • Active RN license.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year previous critical care or emergency nursing experience.
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
  • No previous employment at the facility and no licensure or background hits.

    • Additional Information :

  • Orientation up to 16 hours (unpaid).
  • Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
  • Holiday coverage required.

    • Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications and hold the required certifications to be eligible for application.\n
