Grocery Manager
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Provide at all times Outstanding Customer Service
- Perform and manage all ordering for the grocery department (candy, dairy, frozen food, grocery, grocery tax, HBC, magazines / cards, newspapers, soda)
- Responsible to ensure proper receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Create and ensure proper signage and displays throughout the department
- Perform and manage department inventories
- Calculate margins and make sure pricing is correct and clear on the shelves and that the Receiver has current-to-date pricing information, so items are retailed at the register correctly
- Work closely with vendors to ensure you are receiving and offering the best pricing, new items, best quality, and appropriate items that your customers will love and appreciate
- Ensure shelves are properly blocked and rotated daily
- Ensure grocery shelves are maintained, cleaned and organized. This includes ensuring all products are tagged and / or labeled properly
- Develop product knowledge in all areas
- Create weekly schedule(s)
- Strictly adhere to all safety, health regulations
