WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an ICU Step Down RN for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital System in Cooperstown, NY

Job Function :

Day Shift.

7am to 7pm.

Care for patients transitioning out of the ICU requiring more care and attention than patients on a general medical-surgical unit.

Monitoring patients with medical equipment such as catheters, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators and cardiac monitors.

Caring for multiple patients throughout the same shift, often varying in age and condition.

Monitoring patients with life-saving medical equipment such as IVs, catheters, feeding tubes and ventilators.

Responding to "code blue" alerts and other urgent situations.

Providing a comfortable and secure environment for the patient while acting as their advocate.

Job Requirements :

Strong background in critical care is required.

Experience in emergency departments (ED) is highly preferred.

Must be prepared to float between various facilities, including those with critical access services and ICU units.

Travelers will be required to float between all six facilities within the Health Network as needed and on a daily basis.

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
