Job Summary

The Mortgage Banker is responsible for originating a high volume of residential mortgage loans by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, realtors, builders, and other referral sources. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of mortgage products, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to guide borrowers through the entire loan process from application to closing. This position primarily deals with direct, single-family loans, but the Banker should also be versed in other bank products such as home equity loans.

Key Responsibilities

• Loan Origination & Business Development : Actively seek out and develop new mortgage lending opportunities.
• Referral Networking : Build and maintain a referral network with real estate professionals, financial planners, and other industry contacts.
• Client Management : Interview loan applicants to determine their financial needs and objectives. Analyze financial data, credit reports, and other information to recommend the most suitable loan products.
• Customer Service : Act as the primary point of contact for borrowers, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the loan process. Address any questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaboration : Work closely with the underwriting and processing teams to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process.
• Compliance & Documentation : Gather and review all necessary documentation to ensure loan files are complete and compliant with federal regulations and bank policies.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 to $49.00 per hour. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
