Role Summary :

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, disassembling, and repairing electric actuators. You will provide technical support, custom modifications, testing, and equipment maintenance. This role focuses on electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components, diagnosing and repairing various types of electric actuators. Key initiatives include electric actuator maintenance, valve automation, supporting field installations, commissioning, start-ups, and service training for technicians and partners. This position requires travel to customer locations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Service electric actuators from brands such as Limitorque, Rotork , Auma, and Bettis.
  • Exhibit a strong customer-service mindset, taking ownership of quality, meeting deadlines, and resolving issues proactively.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Actively support a positive SHEA culture to reduce lost time injuries and recordable accident frequency rate and maintain a safe hazard free work environment. Support the FST on the JSEA Completion, identify with them the potential hazards at site, and ensure these details are timely shared with the Onsite Services SHEA Manager.
  • Troubleshoot, disassemble, and repair equipment both in-house and on-site.
  • Provide technical support for shop floor assembly and custom modifications.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components using schematic drawings.
  • Assist in testing procedures and equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct field installation, commissioning, and start-up of electric actuation equipment.
  • Provide service training to new technicians and partners.

Required Experience & Skills :

  • Ability to lift to 35 lbs. periodically.
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • 2–5 years of industry-related experience in valves, actuators, or motor-operated valves (MOV), with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of digital control systems and network communication protocols (Ethernet, ProfiBus, ModBus, HART) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
