Lead AI Solutions Engineer

Overall Responsibilities :

Design and implement comprehensive ML / AI solutions for life insurance underwriting using LLMs, deep learning, and probabilistic modeling—from concept to production.

Build scalable GenAI and Agentic AI systems that align with business objectives.

Promote best practices in AI development and ensure responsible AI deployment.

Foster innovation by scouting emerging technologies and converting research into actionable solutions.

Collaborate with engineering teams to create robust, production-ready AI pipelines and APIs.

Develop and deliver AI-driven applications (such as web apps, dashboards, and visualizations) that facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Engage with senior leadership to align AI strategies with enterprise goals and convey insights clearly.

Guide and nurture junior talent , cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Candidate Requirements :

Recognized expertise in the AI / ML field, with a proven record of delivering high-impact solutions.

7+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering.

Strong understanding of machine learning, statistics, NLP, optimization, and LLMs.

Hands-on experience with AI deployment and orchestration tools (e.g., MLflow, llama-index, MCP).

Extensive background in testing LLM performance across diverse foundational models and benchmarks.

Experience in developing AI-enabled applications and working alongside software engineers and product managers.

Excellent programming skills in Python; proficiency in R is advantageous.

Strong SQL and database design capabilities ; familiarity with cloud-native data platforms, vector databases, and semantic search is a plus.

Exceptional communication skills , capable of explaining complex ideas to non-technical audiences.

Education :

M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
