Public Works Director
The City of Burbank, nestled between the Hollywood Hills and the Verdugo Mountains, is seeking its next Public Works Director. With 106,000 residents and a daytime population of nearly 200,000, Burbank blends small-town charm with world-class opportunities. Known as the "Media Capital of the World," the City is also advancing transformative capital projects, including a new civic center library, renovations to Izay Park, a dog park, and enhancements to the Starlight Bowl. Public Works is one of Burbank's largest departments, with a $127 million budget, 212 employees, and responsibility for roads, storm drains, public buildings, fleet, waste management, and wastewater. The Director will oversee $31.5 million in active capital projects while leading five divisions and serving as a key member of the Executive Team. The City seeks an enthusiastic, dynamic, and solutions-oriented leader with strong technical expertise and public works management experience. Salary range : $205,210 $269,852 plus excellent executive benefits.
