Job Summary

We're looking for a talented IBM Cognos Developer to join our Data Analytics team and help drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role focuses on designing and delivering high-impact reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics.

Primary Job Functions :

Develop and maintain interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using IBM Cognos Report Studio in conjunction with Costpoint Enterprise Reporting (CER).

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and reporting solutions.

Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization across reporting assets.

Implement security and access controls within Cognos reports.

Contribute to metadata modeling efforts using IBM Cognos Framework Manager.

Assist in building reusable data models and packages to support reporting needs.

Collaborate with data architects to align models IBM with data warehouse structures.

Support versioning and impact analysis for model updates.

Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Cognos-related issues.

Document reporting processes and conduct of user training as needed.

Education, Experience and Certification :

Required : Bachelor's degree

Description : Computer Science, Information Systems, or field

Preferred : 3 Years of Experience

Description : IBM Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Workspace Advanced, etc.)

Required : Certification

Description : IBM Cognos Certifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.

Proven ability to design and deliver user-friendly, performance-optimized reports.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience with IBM Cognos Framework Manager and metadata modeling.

Experience with Cognos reporting for Costpoint.

Familiarity with other BI tools such as Power BI.

Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.

Travel Requirements :

• Less than 10% - Occasional travel for audits, training, or team meetings.
