WHAT IS THE JOB?

As a Contract Assistant Designer, you will support the Women's Design Team in all aspects of Design & Product development. This position has an expected start date of November 1, 2025 and an expected end date of Mid-March 2026.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Assists the team to prep fit samples (measure, reviewing construction, identify discrepancies in specs, steam / press samples to be ready for fittings)
  • Assists the team on tracking samples and following up on sample status, including development / wholesale / catalos samples (maintains tracking charts up to date)
  • Assists on organizing and maintaining sample library organized and up to date
  • Assists the team to prep for meetings (pull samples, steam garments, create boards, etc.)
  • Assists in finding images for design meetings
  • Assists in maintaining fabric boards up to date and clean at all times
  • Assists team on creating diagrams for TPs
  • Assists in setting up for Store Set Presentations
  • Must adhere to Product development calendar

WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS?

  • Self-starter with a deep desire to work in a highly cross-functional and entrepreneurial setting
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to quickly build relationships and influence others
  • Highly organized and proficient in written and oral communications to our vendors and internal cross functional team
  • Motivated, resourceful problem solver and team player with a "no task is too small" attitude
  • Flexible, positive, and creative mindset with ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Technical Skills – must be able to understand specs and communicate clear and concise findings to the team
