Registration Coordinator Full Time

Registration Coordinator needed for busy, multispecialty ASC. United Surgical Partners International is a company that specializes in the development and operation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities in the U.S.

Accurate and efficient preparation of patient charts for the next days cases.

Greet all visitors entering the facility.

Admit patients, copy insurance cards and identification, prepare accurately charts to be handed off to preop nurses for admission to the clinical area.

Update patient demographics or insurance information if differs from schedule information.

Collect upfront money due from patients upon admission, prepare receipts for money received and handle money according to facility policy.

Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.

Order physician lunches if needed

Make a copy of the surgery schedule at the end of the day and accurately mark cancelled or no show and give to the surgery scheduler.

File charts and miscellaneous documentation daily.

Scan all charts into Scan Chart system within 48 hours of DOS.

General clerical duties

Wage Range :

$24-$28 an hour and depending on experience

Required Skills : High school graduate or equivalent. One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred. Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties. Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required. Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial. Bilingual preferred. Good communication skills.
