Roadway Design Engineer Project Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Roadway Design Engineer Project Manager to support and grow our Transportation Practice in our Dayton, Ohio office. Annual compensation : $95,000 - $185,000 based on experience, certifications, and regional market standards.
Roadway Design Engineer Project Manager Essential Functions :
- Responsible for scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects as well as a portfolio of projects.
- Point person and firms contact with clients while functioning as project manager.
- Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.
- Guides and coordinates all internal LJB transportation disciplines, with sub-consultants, and clients.
- Has a basic understanding of what the other transportation disciplines do and what they require as part of specific projects.
- Responsible for the nine knowledge areas, according to the Project Management Institute (PMI), that are associated with each phase of the project they are managing including :
- Project Integration Management
- Project Scope Management
- Project Time Management
- Project Cost Management
- Project Quality Management
- Project Human Resource Management
- Project Communications Management
- Project Risk Management
- Project Procurement Management
- Responsible for assisting the Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.
- On larger projects, PM may or may not be involved directly in the design.
- Apprise Deputy Operations Manager of employee performance on particular projects.
- Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing.
- Assist in informal development of other employees.
Roadway Design Engineer Project Manager Essential Credentials :
Education : Bachelors degree in civil engineering required. P.E. license required, North Carolina PE is preferred. Successful candidates will be expected to get their NC PE within the first year of hire.Qualifications : At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering is required, 5 years of project management experience is preferred. Experience working on DOT design projects is required, experience with multiple DOTs is a plus. Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM and Project Management software experience is preferred.
