About The Position

Job Title : School Psychologist

Location : Elmhurst, IL

Start Date : September 15, 2025

Contract Duration : Through December 1, 2025 (covering FMLA leave)

Schedule : Full-Time, Monday–Friday (7 hours / day with a 30-minute duty-free lunch)

Grade Level : Pre-K / Early Childhood

Setting : In-Person

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a temporary assignment covering FMLA leave. The role will primarily focus on supporting early childhood education (Pre-K / EC) with assessments, screenings, and participation in team-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct screenings and case studies for students transitioning from early intervention programs.

Utilize Play-Based Assessments (experience with Linder’s preferred) to evaluate developmental needs.

Lead weekly Child Find team meetings to review new student screening information.

Participate in MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) meetings to address student needs.

Manage approximately 10–15 full case studies and 40–50 student screenings during the assignment.

Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop interventions and support strategies.

Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).

Experience working with young children (Pre-K / EC) .

Strong knowledge of child development and early intervention transitions.

Familiarity with Play-Based Assessment tools, preferably Linder’s model .
