ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Chicago, IL 60612 – West Side, close to parks, museums, and top city attractions Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Healthcare Setting : Level 1 Trauma Center, Emergency Department Start Date : November 12, 2025 End Date : February 11, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shifts : 3x12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) Floating : Required within facility and to other units within 50 miles as needed Charting System : Cerner EMR Scrub Color : Navy Blue (not provided) Parking : $2 / day at JTDC with shuttle service Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910–$1960 per week ER RN Qualifications & Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required at submission) Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience as an Emergency Room RN Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no COVID-19 exemptions; flu exemptions for medical / religious reasons only) Ability to float to other units and facilities as needed Must be responsive and able to meet compliance deadlines Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of accepting assignment Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department Perform triage, assessment, and stabilization of patients with acute and critical conditions Manage arterial and central lines, IV vasopressors, ventilated patients, and multisystem organ dysfunction Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias Administer continuous IV sedation, CPAP / BiPAP, and maintain isolation precautions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Float to other nursing units within scope as required Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR Apply now to join our Chicago healthcare team as a travel Emergency Room RN and make a difference in emergency nursing!
