Network Operations Specialist

Plans, implements, and operates network services / systems, to include hardware and virtual environments.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze network traffic capacity and performance characteristics.
• Establish a routing schema.
• Implement, maintain, and improve established network security practices.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN and WAN components such as routers, hubs, and switches.
• Use network management tools to analyze network traffic patterns.
• Secure network communications and protect against malware.
• Configure and utilize network protection components (e.g., Firewalls, VPNs, network intrusion detection systems).
• Implement and test network infrastructure contingency and recovery plans.
• Apply various subnet techniques.
• Monitor measures or indicators of system performance and availability.
• Diagnose network connectivity problems.
• Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.
