Job Summary
MHSADS seeks a dynamic Behavioral Health Therapist to support a newly formed Co-Responder Program that specializes in crisis intervention and stabilization services in response to calls to 911 for a behavioral health crisis throughout Loudoun County, including to individual's homes. Co-Responder Program also provides follow up to individuals after a 911 call for a behavioral health crisis.
Successful candidates excel in complex, fast paced environments and are passionate about crisis work, with law enforcement, and support 24 / 7 / 365 crisis response with : astute clinical acumen, a collaborative approach to community partnerships, and excellent critical thinking skills. They are highly creative and adapt easily to rapidly changing, often competing demands for service.
Hiring salary will be commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for a $6,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree; license eligible within one (1) year of hire or possess professional licensure through the VA Department of Health Professions Board as a : Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), and two (2) years of professional experience working with individuals who have a mental health and / or substance use diagnosis, which may include internship experience.
