Corporate Safety & Environmental Representative

Job Summary : Support safety and environmental initiatives across multi-plant manufacturing operations to ensure consistent safety standards, regulatory compliance, and a proactive safety culture across all facilities. Utilize strong communication skills and leverage knowledge of MIOSHA / OSHA regulations and hands-on experience in industrial environments to help prepare employees to complete job requirements in a safe manner.
Essential Functions :
- Develop and deliver standardized safety training programs across multiple manufacturing sites, including leading train the trainer activities, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct on-site and virtual training sessions on topics such as machine safety, lockout / tagout, PPE usage, chemical handling, emergency response, etc.
- Collaborate with plant managers and EHS teams to assess site-specific risks and tailor training accordingly.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through audits, incident trends, and employee feedback.
- Maintain accurate training records and certifications across all locations.
- Stay current with evolving safety regulations and manufacturing best practices and update training content accordingly.
- Support incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify training gaps and corrective actions.
- Travel regularly to manufacturing sites across multiple states and international.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse teams.Proficiency in developing training materials and using learning management systems (LMS).Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to varying site cultures and operational needs.Job Preferences :
Experience in safety and environmental fields.Strong knowledge of MIOSHA / OSHA standards, ANSI, and other relevant safety regulations.Safety certifications such as CSP.Reports To : Chief Human Resources Officer

Status : Full Time / Salary – Exempt (40 hrs / week; additional hours as needed)
