argenx is a fast-growing global immunology company with teams in Europe, the United States and Japan, translating breakthroughs into a portfolio of antibody-based medicines. For the expansion of our Global Market Access Team, argenx is looking for a Market Access Pipeline Director.

Purpose

The Market Access Pipeline Director will be responsible for leading strategic access for assets and indications in early development phases. The Global Market Access team collaborates across countries (US, Developed Markets and Japan) and with local country teams and cross-functional partners.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Determine early market access potential, pricing and strategy for pipeline indications and assets, including indication sequencing, TPP, and TPL
  • Collaborate with Indication Development Teams to optimize trial designs reflecting payer requirements
  • Coordinate Early Scientific Advice from key HTA Agencies and conduct gap analyses with external consultants
  • Work with Indication Commercial Teams to align Access and Commercial positioning, pricing and strategy
  • Assess unmet need, outline payer value proposition, and evaluate P&R / HTA landscape
  • Inform development of global pricing strategy and policy
  • Test payer value messages and price expectations via Advisory Boards and payer research
  • Develop core value dossier and objection handler
  • Develop innovative global and regional access strategies including early access and launch risk mitigation
  • Validate contracting options and G2N assumptions
  • Partner with HEOR and Regional Access to optimize evidence generation and identify epidemiology and unmet need
  • Inform health economic and outcomes analyses required for access, collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Facilitate launch readiness workshops with regional and local Market Access and other functions

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience and understanding of payer needs, decision-making, and country reimbursement stakeholders in US and / or key EU markets
  • Experience developing global and regional pricing and market access strategies
  • Experience collaborating with clinical development teams
  • Experience with launches in orphan / rare diseases
  • Ability to manage external partners and work across cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts in a scientific environment; strong learning agility
  • Strong communication in a multi-cultural global environment
  • Agile, adaptable, resilient, and collaborative

  • Education and Experience

  • 7+ years of relevant biotech / pharma experience
  • 5+ years Market Access & Pricing experience with specialty drug launches in US or Europe
  • Advanced degree in natural sciences, medicine, business, engineering, or finance; Master’s required, PhD or MBA preferred
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional influence
  • Strategic thinking and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Other

  • Regular travel required
  • Fluent English required
  • Based in Belgium, Switzerland, or US (East Coast) or willing to relocate
