Unit Overview : Be a part of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit where you will provide care for a diverse and complex patient population including :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Care for patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .Support for a high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, alongside medical overflow cases.Join the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , which offers exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge patient care.

Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).Education Required :
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.Experience Required :
Typically requires at least 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

Ability to engage in physical activities such as lifting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and carrying up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.Competent in pushing / pulling with 30 lbs. of force and performing sliding transfers with assistance.May be exposed to hazardous materials, thus protective gear may be required.Functional capabilities for speech, vision, hearing, and touch needed for tasks such as IV insertion.This job description outlines the fundamental aspects of the Registered Nurse role and may evolve to include additional tasks as necessary.
