JOB SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the Reauthorization Department, ensuring that all necessary documentation and processes are in place to secure reimbursement for ongoing care services. This position also involves supervising departmental staff, maintaining compliance with reauthorization standards, and optimizing workflow efficiency. Additional responsibilities may include budget management, revenue oversight, and coordination of purchasing activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Supervises the reauthorization process by managing eligibility, authorization, changes in orders,
negotiated rates, financial obligation documents and all necessary payor information for all services rendered by the company.
2. Supervises the RCM and Pending Revenue reports and weekly calls to quickly resolve and minimize any Reauthorization issues that arise in the reports. Helps guide the team to resolve quickly and efficiently.
3. Supervises Leads and representatives in performance of their duties ensuring proper training and customer service levels are met, auditing the quality of work performed by staff, and ensuring operational flow of department is optimal, monitoring of customer service via telephone calls, fax, email and internet access to improve service and outcomes.
4. Collaborates with third party payer administrators, Contract Management Group and Business Development staff on contract issues.
5. Submits information to Contract Management and Business Development staff regarding contract issues as they affect revenue and sales. Notifies appropriate staff of changes in contract arrangements or updates in third party payer guidelines.
6. Supervises and ensures reauthorization processes are compliant with ACHC and government regulations.
7. Assists in hiring, evaluating, training, development, and disciplining of staff.
8. Participates in overall supervision of location(s) by meeting with Director and other Department managers to review operations, discuss and formulate resolutions to outstanding issues while maintaining and fostering an atmosphere of cooperation between departments.
9. Other related duties as assigned by manager
