Key Responsibilities :
- Accurately identify anatomical orientation and ensure proper file identification on all images.
- Operate all MRI equipment and relevant software with proficiency.
- Ensure patient safety in the MRI room through proper screening and education.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, patients, and families.
- Perform quality control on MRI procedures, manage daily schedules, and assist radiologists by supporting the department's efficiency and patient care continuity.
- Review patient charts and requisitions to set up rooms correctly and identify any medical issues or contraindications.
- Educate patients about procedures to ensure comprehension and comfort.
- Provide coverage on an as-needed basis during high patient volume or staff absenteeism.
- Mentor and train new staff members.
- Adhere to guidelines for scanning and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in maintaining accreditation with the American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years.
- Keep CPR certification current and relevant.
- Deliver exceptional patient service by sharing necessary procedure information and ensuring follow-up care is understood.
- Maintain strong relationships with referring providers through excellent imaging quality.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images with minimal recommendations for additional acquisitions; perform quality assurance on images and equipment.
- Evaluate patient vital signs during examinations and use sterile techniques as required.
- Review each completed examination for technical accuracy, present them to radiologists, and communicate pertinent information post-procedure.
- Promote a collaborative team environment through positive interaction with colleagues.
- Meet deadlines consistently while demonstrating flexibility and accountability.

Required Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.MRI certification.Preferred Qualifications :
Associate or Bachelor's degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.1+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist.Effective communication skills with patients and staff.Ability to adapt to and learn new systems and technology.Physical Demands :
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Vision must be correctable to 20 / 20 for equipment operation and film review.Compensation depends on various factors, including local labor markets and qualifications. In addition to a competitive pay range, we offer comprehensive benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this position ranges from $28.27 to $50.48 based on full-time employment. We adhere to all minimum wage laws.
