Department : UCHlth LifeLine CO Springs

FTE : Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift : Flex

Pay : $24.11 - $36.17 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Summary :

Join our dedicated team as a paramedic specializing in critical care transport. You will provide essential patient care during both air and ground critical transport, ensuring the highest standards of treatment and safety.

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver patient care throughout all phases of transport, from initial contact until care is transferred to the accepting medical facility.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, responses to therapy, and any changes in condition within the established timeframe.
  • Participate in Pre and Post Transport briefings and provide follow-up care to referral agencies.
  • Ensure all equipment is functional, report discrepancies, and complete the necessary vehicle and equipment checklists.
  • Work collaboratively with all team members to enhance outcomes and drive success.
  • Provide safety and clinical education to referring facilities and EMS agencies as required.
  • Exhibit critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements :

  • Minimum Required Education : High school diploma or GED.
  • Required Licensure / Certification : National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and Colorado EMT-P certification at hire. Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C) required.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with state license requirements within six months of hire.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and any one of the following : TPATC, PHTLS, or ITLS.
  • Minimum Experience : 5 years paramedic experience; preferred experience in a high call volume 911 ambulance service.
