Core Roles and Responsibilities- 1. Customer Intake & Estimation
- First Impression & Triage: Answer incoming calls promptly with a professional, upbeat greeting. Quickly assess the severity of electrical issues (emergency vs. routine).
- Scope Identification & Estimation: Discuss issues with the customer to accurately identify the electrical scope of work. Utilize standard pricing guides to provide reliable upfront estimates and convert inquiries into booked appointments.
- Lead Conversion: Utilize "Power Bookings" techniques to sell the value of a professional diagnostic visit and maintain a high booking rate.
- 2. Dispatching & Daily Operations
- Strategic Scheduling: Dispatch technicians based on skill level, location, and sales capability to minimize "windshield time" and maximize billable hours.
- Field Support & Communication: Act as the primary lifeline for technicians, relaying gate codes, scope changes, and ensuring no one is running behind without notifying the customer.
- Fleet & Inventory Management: Oversee vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and the "Warehouse on Wheels" inventory to ensure technicians have the right parts for first-visit completions.
- Office Administration: File municipal electrical permits, schedule city inspections, process payments, and maintain accurate records in the CRM (e.g., ServiceTitan).
- Reputation Management: Handle escalated customer complaints swiftly and implement strategies to drive 5-star online reviews.
- Skills
- Technical Expertise: 5+ years in the electrical trade (Master/Journeyman preferred) with the ability to accurately estimate residential and semi-commercial jobs over the phone or via photos.
- Customer Service Skills: An upbeat, empathetic phone presence paired with the ability to de-escalate high-pressure emergency situations.
- Software Proficiency: Highly capable with field service management software (ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, etc.), fast typing speeds, and strong general tech-savvy.
- Availability: Ability to manage office duties while being available for "on-call" rotations or emergency escalations outside of standard business hours.
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Business or a related field is prefered.
- Previous experience as an Operations Manager is must and experience with applications like ServiceTitan is prefered
- Deep understanding of organizational effectiveness and operations management
