Financial Analyst

Babel Street is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its high-performing Finance team. This role will report directly to the Director of FP&A and play a critical part in maintaining and enhancing financial models, analyzing business performance, supporting M&A activities, and delivering forward-looking insights to support strategic decision making.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical and financial modeling skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role offers significant visibility, including regular collaboration with executives and cross-functional leaders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and update short- and long-term financial models, including weekly cash flow and monthly rolling forecasts
  • Support monthly close processes by preparing key metric reports such as ARR and labor analyses
  • Partner with the Divisional Controller to prepare and present departmental vendor expense and labor forecasts to department heads
  • Provide insightful, data-driven analysis to support executive, investor and debtholder inquiries
  • Support the annual budgeting process by collecting, analyzing and consolidating top line and expense inputs from departments
  • Support ad hoc financial analyses to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives
  • Support M&A activities including due diligence, modeling and analytics related to targeted acquisitions

Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Big 4 Advisory, or Consulting
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and 3-statement financial reporting & modeling
  • CPA or CFA preferred
  • Experience with high-growth recurring revenue business with demanding institutional investors (ideally private equity)
  • Soft / Other Skills :

  • Passionate about financial modeling, forecasting, and business analytics
  • Strong systems orientation, comfort working with financial tools, ERP / reporting platforms, and an understanding of how to leverage AI in the FP&A workflow
  • Strong work ethic and high level of organization, with a track record of delivering high-quality work on tight timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proven ability to clearly articulate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities and evolving business needs
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Comfortable working under pressure with rapidly shifting priorities

    Range for this position based on qualifications and experience : $90,000 - $120,000 USD
