Facilities Technician - Contractor - D

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for aFacilities Technician.

Position Type: Full Time Contract, Contract to hire
Duration: 06-12 months
Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80916

As a Facilities Technician, you will:

• Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including all trades (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• Performs trades work, such as carpentry or painting, in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures.
• Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of applicable standards or regulations and may require specific trade certifications.
• General strong trade experience/knowledge.
• Must have basic PC/Microsoft Office skills. Navigate email/timecards etc. – use software for work orders/emails/etc.
• Follow EHS policies and procedures.
• Should be a licensed electrical journeyman.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and over all “Jake of all trades/ Handyperson, Proficient in Lock-Out/ Tag-Out (LO/TO) Procedure.
• Physical requirements including climbing ladders, extended seating & standing or other physical efforts.
• Will need to work outside, inside, walking building and grounds.
• Exposure to exterior elements including cold, wind and heat.

Ideal candidate will have

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $35-$38 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
