Director of Enterprise Data Architecture

Invenergy is seeking a Director of Enterprise Data Architecture to lead the design, implementation, and governance of the company’s enterprise-wide data architecture. The role sits in the front office of IT, partnering closely with technology, business, and operations teams while ensuring that the back-end data environment—storage, pipelines, cost-effective access, and governance—is optimized for scalability, performance, and value creation.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture vision, roadmaps, and reference models.
• Ensure scalable, secure, and cost‑optimized data storage, access, and processing architectures across on‑prem and cloud platforms.
• Partner with IT and business leaders to align architecture decisions with analytics, reporting, and AI / ML needs.
• Oversee the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade data pipelines (batch and real‑time) for ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
• Establish best practices for metadata management, lineage tracking, and performance optimization.
• Evaluate and implement modern data technologies (streaming, orchestration, API integration).
• Drive the adoption of enterprise‑wide data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Champion data stewardship and quality initiatives in partnership with business and data governance leaders.
• Implement cost‑effective data management strategies, including cloud cost governance and resource optimization.
• Establish monitoring and optimization processes for data infrastructure performance and spend.
• Partner with Finance and Procurement to evaluate data platform contracts and usage.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing team of data architects and engineers.
• Act as a bridge between IT front‑office leadership and back‑end teams, ensuring alignment of business needs with technical delivery.
• Influence cross‑functional stakeholders on the value of enterprise data assets and architecture.

Minimum Qualifications

Compensation

Base Pay : $175,000.00 – $220,000.00 USD Annual

Bonus : 30% – 40%
