Role Summary

Responsible for receiving incoming raw materials. Will work as a team member with Management and co-workers to ensure all needed tasks are completed. Will assist in material handling, cycle counting, customer order building, labeling etc. as time allows. This is a safety sensitive position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
• Ensure all incoming deliveries match the company purchase order.
• Ensures all incoming deliveries include required information (i.e. Best By Date, etc.)
• Store cargo in assigned locations based on status (i.e. Hold, Organic, Gluten Free, etc.). Record receipt or transfer of items in data storage system.
• Under direction of Warehouse Operations Manager or Warehouse Supervisor, carries out priorities with Maud Borup Inc. operation consistent with production needs.
• Uses necessary controls, procedures, and operating plans to attain maximum efficiency and productivity.
• Assists with initiating the appropriate procedures and controls to assure a consistently high-quality product, which meets specifications and customer requirements, as well as meeting company established goals.
• Complete all operations by following company policies and procedures.
• Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements to ensure the Company is adhering to requirements.
• Assist in controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts : reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by cleaning, proper storage, inspecting equipment and reporting needed repairs.
• Assists recycling program and coordination of the scrap operation.
• Assists movement of finished goods and raw materials between main warehouse and production floor.
• Inspects trucks or trailers to ensure they meet requirements. Document results and report to Warehouse Manager as needed.
• Is knowledgeable regarding necessary policies and controls to assure a safe and orderly work environment, plant safety and housekeeping programs.
• Is familiar with SQF Food Safety standards. Is responsible for reporting food safety issues immediately.
• Knowledge of procedures, work instructions and associated paperwork as required.
• Operate various machinery including pallet jacks and forklifts to handle materials and inventory.
• Contributes to team effort.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements

Strong physical abilities. Requires the ability to move about the facility (plant and office), and communicate with employees and Management, and able to operate shipping equipment. Must be able to bend, stand / walk, sit for 8 hours or more, lift up to 50 pounds.
