About The Position

Job Title : IMC RN

Experience : Recent 2 years in IMC or ICU

License : Must hold a license in the state of permanent residency

Certifications : American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale Certification

Must-Have :

Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification

NIH Stroke Scale certification

Description :

The IMC RN is responsible for managing high acuity patients who are often too critical for a medical / surgical floor but may not require an intensive care unit level of care.

The IMC team is skilled in caring for populations such as those with sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, post open-heart procedures, continuous cardiac infusions, and those requiring acute continuous non-invasive ventilation such as BiPAP or CPAP.

These patients require continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring.

The IMC RN will be prepared to intervene quickly to any changes in hemodynamics or respiratory demands.

The IMC RN is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating an individualized plan of care for their patients.

The IMC RN serves as an advocate and educator to patients and their families.

The Intermediate Care unit provides a fast-paced, teamwork-driven environment, delivering high acuity care to critically ill patients.
