APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Alsip, IL looking to add a CNC Machinist to their already amazing team. Their primary responsibility will be to efficiently and accurately operate CNC machines while leading production, troubleshooting complex issues, and training junior machinists. What your day will look like :

Run CNC machine setups for turning, milling, grinding, and gear manufacturing

Develop processes and fixtures creatively to support production needs

Determine necessary gages and tools to ensure accurate operations

Use shop math and GD&T to maintain precise tolerances

Lead, train, and mentor junior machinists while working independently

Develop and maintain daily / weekly preventive maintenance (PM) and 5S processes

What we are looking for :

5+ years of experience in CNC turning, milling, grinding, and gear manufacturing

Ability to run setups, develop processes, and create fixtures without guidance

Strong understanding of GD&T and effective shop math skills

Ability to size, select, and request tools as needed for production

Capable of leading, teaching, and independently managing CNC operations
