Salary Range : $14.13 - $15.37 hourly or per the collective bargaining agreement. Maximum salary upon new hire is $14.13.

Working Hours and / or Working Conditions : HOURS : Hours to be scheduled by the department as needed, but not to exceed 30 hours per week.WORKING CONDITIONS : Must be able to perform and teach CPR to students with hands on demonstration. Ability to lift 50 pounds, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time.

Supervision : SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Reports to the Associate Dean, Health Sciences and Technology. Takes day-to-day direction from the Health Lab instructor. SUPERVISION GIVEN : None

Job Function

Provide support for faculty teaching Health Lab in the Wellness, Health and Exercise Science classes.

Job Responsibilities

• Health lab set up and break down
• Provide basic maintenance for manikins
• Lead small group demonstrations as assigned
• Observe and interact with students during lab sessions
• Clean laboratory classrooms and equipment, prep areas and storage areas
• General maintenance and organization of the laboratories, prep rooms and storage areas
• May assist with inventory control of items and supplies
• May move and unpack inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Must hold current provider certifications in ARC Responding to Emergencies Community (includes Adult CPR, AED, and Child / Infant CPR) and current Instructor Certifications in the same areas.

Qualifications

Prior completion of Instructor Certification may be waived by the instructor if the aide is enrolled in the Instructor Training Program.
