Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : OR Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day shift Hours per Shift : 8 hours Experience : Minimum of 3 years recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting License : Must have an active RN license Certifications : Must have ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Experience with general surgery, Davinci preferred, orthopedics, robotic knee replacement, trauma, and neuro - Must be available for on-call duty, one day a week and one weekend a month Description : The Operating Room Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment. This nurse participates in planning and delivering patient care in the operating room. The OR RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other personnel. Responsibilities include scheduling cases and ensuring the availability of supplies. The RN communicates effectively with families and updates physician preference cards. This role requires scrubbing and circulating surgical cases. Additionally, the RN will supervise personnel delivering patient care.
