Remote P&C Actuaries - AI Trainer ($60-$100 per hour)

Mercor is collaborating with a leading actuarial modeling partner to support high-priority analytical workflows in property and casualty (P&C) insurance. We’re seeking experienced P&C actuaries to provide contract-based support on tasks including loss triangle development, rate indications, trend selection, and large loss analyses. This opportunity involves technical execution of core reserving and pricing practices used in regulatory filings and internal reviews. It is ideal for actuaries with strong hands-on skills in Excel, reserving platforms, and actuarial judgment.

• Key Responsibilities
• Build and analyze loss development triangles for paid and incurred data. - Calculate, compare, and select age-to-age and cumulative development factors. - Estimate ultimate losses and IBNR reserves using factor-based projections. - Perform rate indication calculations including trending and premium on-leveling. - Select frequency and severity trends with supporting documentation. - Conduct large loss load analyses using capping and truncation techniques. - Prepare reserve exhibits and filing-ready workpapers in Excel and PDF formats.
• Ideal Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in property and casualty actuarial roles. - Familiarity with Workers Compensation, Auto, Umbrella, or General Liability lines. - Proficiency with Arius, ResQ, R ChainLadder, or similar reserving tools. - Strong skills in Excel, with experience auditing and constructing complex models. - Solid understanding of insurance data sources such as Guidewire or Duck Creek. - Excellent documentation and communication skills, especially in technical contexts.
