Job Description
Construction Superintendent needed to oversee the ground-up and renovation construction of medical clinics. This role is responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with healthcare-specific standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare construction, including familiarity with medical equipment coordination, infection control protocols, and AHCA compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all field operations for medical clinic construction projects, from site mobilization through final turnover
- Manage daily job site activities including subcontractor coordination, inspections, and progress tracking
- Interpret and execute architectural, structural, and MEP drawings with precision
- Ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards, including AHCA, ADA, and infection control protocols
- Maintain and update construction schedules, proactively resolving delays and conflicts
- Oversee installation of medical gas systems, specialized finishes, and clinic-specific infrastructure
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, inspectors, consultants, and design teams
- Document daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists
- Enforce safety policies and ensure OSHA compliance across all site activities
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment with budget, scope, and client expectations
Qualifications
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in medical clinic projectsHigh school diploma required; degree in construction management or related field preferredStrong knowledge of local building codes and permitting processesExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)OSHA 30 certification preferred
