Job description

LocumJobsNetwork is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Urgent Care NP in New York!

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 2-week locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins on Oct 29, 2025, and features 12-hour shifts with weekday and weekend coverage. The assignment requires skills in urgent care, including COVID-related care, suturing, and splinting.

  • Provider Type Needed : Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Schedule : Oct 29 8am-8pm, Oct 30 8am-8pm; patients seen until 8pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends; providers must see all patients before leaving

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide urgent care services, including management of COVID cases
  • Perform suturing and splinting as needed
  • Evaluate and treat patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
  • Ensure all patients are seen before the end of each shift
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume environment, especially during periods of increased patient demand

    • Additional Information

  • Must hold a current New York nurse practitioner license
  • Experience in urgent care settings preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high patient volume
