About the Company
Our client is a leading independent supplier of diesel fuel injection systems to OEMs and the aftermarket. Their Columbia, SC Research & Development facility tackles complex thermal, mechanical, and hydraulic challenges —driven by robust experimental data and over 100 combined years of materials engineering experience.
This is not an assembly-line job. This is hands-on testing, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and working directly with diesel engines, fuel injection equipment, and advanced mechanical systems.

Position Summary
The Test Technician is responsible for testing and evaluating new and existing diesel-related products. This includes running mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical tests; troubleshooting equipment; documenting results; and supporting engineering teams.
They are looking for someone with a strong mechanical background, a customer-focused mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
You will work hands-on with mechanical, electrical, diesel, and hydraulic systems. Daily duties include :
- Perform hot gas testing (turbo, EGR, intake valve systems)
- Support durability testing on engines and components
- Assist with vehicle testing
- Run, maintain, and troubleshoot test equipment and instrumentation
