About The Position

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Opportunity in Baton Rouge, LA

Step into a well-supported outpatient practice with an established referral base and meaningful teaching opportunities. This full-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatry position offers a stable schedule, low call burden, and access to a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Join a regional leader in behavioral health at a respected children's hospital committed to clinical excellence and integrated care.

Practice Overview

  • You'll join a collaborative team with 1 active C&A psychiatrist, a professor-level NP, and embedded trainees, including fellows, residents, and externs
  • Multidisciplinary support includes 3 MAs, 1 RN, 1 Clinic Manager, and a dedicated social worker (open position)
  • Outpatient-only role treating ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and CPS-related cases
  • Optional academic involvement with fellows and residents

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM with no evening or overnight responsibilities
  • Call is consult-only, shared 1 : 8 on weekends
  • Average 10-14 patients per day with generous time per visit (90 minutes new, 45 minutes follow-up)
  • No inpatient duties, hospital-based practice location for easy specialist access
  • Compensation & Benefits

  • Guaranteed base salary of $300,000 with additional quality bonuses

  • Candidate Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Open to experienced physicians and 2025 graduates
  • Visa sponsorship available for H1B and J1 candidates
  • Must be comfortable in a teaching and team-based environment
