Job Description

We are seeking a CNC Mill Machinist to join our aerospace assembly team in the Fullerton / Placentia area!

Hours :

2nd Shift : 3 : 00pm start time

$28 - 32 / hr Based on Experience

SUMMARY :

Responsible for operating one or more CNC machines (Mill, Lathe with live tooling and / or Mill Turn CNC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES :

Start machine and observe its operation to reposition work piece, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes
Set up and edit programs; troubleshoot CNC Machinery
Inspect or measure using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc).
Maintains machine and perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on shop machines.
Runs more than one machine / production process at a time.
Experience working in an R&D environment.
Calculates and sets machine controls to position tools, and regulate cutting depth, speed, feed or coolant flow.

QUALIFICATIONS

Five years’ experience operating and setting-up CNC machines (Lathes, Mills, Mill Turn Centers) preferred

Must be able to determine production methods and sequence of operations to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications

Advanced math skills (I.e., trigonometry and advanced algebra)

Knowledge of Mastercam / Esprit a plus

EDUCATION :

AA or Technical Certification or Journeyman.

Physical demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 45 lbs.

Work environment :

Factory environment, exposure to machine noise, metal particles, dust, and coolant.

The noise level is high.
