Job description

Overview

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to join Florida Heart and Lung Institute and their growing cardiac surgery team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in cardiothoracic surgery as part of a team with 2 cardiothoracic surgeons and 5 APPs
  • Provide perioperative care and surgical first assist support
  • Participate in the on-call schedule (minimum 1 : 4, including one weekend per month)

Qualifications

  • Must be board certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Surgical First Assist experience required
  • Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH) experience is required
  • Experience in advanced heart failure (LVAD, impella, ECMO, heart transplant) is a bonus
