As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role on a dedicated team providing compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment for renal failure. Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN), you will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and safety during dialysis treatment.
Your Responsibilities :
- Direct Patient Care : Engage with patients to deliver high-quality dialysis treatment. This includes gathering vitals before and after treatments, initiating and monitoring treatment, ending sessions, and collecting blood samples as directed by physicians.
- Technical Duties : Prepare and maintain dialysis equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality. You will conduct thorough safety checks of machines, disinfection protocols post-treatment, and accurate logging of results for quality assurance.
- Commitment to Safety and Compliance : Utilize appropriate safety equipment and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations. Participate actively in staff meetings and ongoing education to enhance your skills.
What We Seek :
High school diploma or equivalentA passion for patient care and a desire to work in healthcarePrevious experience in healthcare, particularly in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is advantageousComfortable with mixing of acids and bicarbonate according to established protocolsAble to distinguish all primary colorsRequirements for Employment :
Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hireCPR certification obtained within 90 days of hiring or as per state requirementPatient Care Technician certification required via state certification or recognized national program within 18 months of hireAre you ready to make a significant impact?
