Investment Consultant (Tax) | Chicago (Hybrid)

Leading investment management firm seeks experienced Investment Consultant to collaborate closely with internal and external teams to leverage financial expertise to enhance investment strategies and client interactions.

Responsibilities :

Collaborate closely with internal portfolio management, research teams and tax consultants, and external sales representatives to enhance investment strategies / client relationships

Develop / nurture new client relationships; address / resolve any issues or concerns to maintain trust

Engage with clients quarterly to assess their asset allocation and ensure alignment with their long-term financial objectives

Specialize in tax planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and their related entities, enhancing financial outcomes

Participate in streamlining operational procedures to improve client experience and operational efficiency

Conduct complex analyses / research focused on financial, estate, income tax and investment planning

Deliver exceptional phone support; manage priorities and handle urgent calls with professionalism / discernment

Navigate firm effectively by liaising with various departments to gather information, respond to requests and coordinate meetings

Actively participate in ongoing learning opportunities to continuously enhance knowledge to client support needs

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years' experience in financial services industry with relationship building and tax experience

Series 65 / 66 required or willingness to obtain promptly post-hire

Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Suite

In-depth understanding of investment concepts, practices / procedures prevalent within the securities / insurance industry

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with partners across organizations

The target base salary is between $150-175k annually plus bonus. This figure can vary depending on factors such as skillset and experience level.
