About The Position

Job Title : Pediatric Oncology - Infusion RN

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Pediatric Oncology Chemo Certified

Duration : 16 weeks

Shift : Day 4x10-Hour

Hours per Shift : 07 : 30 - 18 : 00

Experience : 2 years preferred

License : State license required

Certifications : PALS preferred, APHON chemo / bio provider preferred

Must-Have :

• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Chemo administration experience preferred
• Teaching Hospital experience required

Description :

An acute care facility is seeking a Pediatric Oncology Infusion RN.

The clinic serves a high volume of pediatric patients requiring infusion therapy.

Responsibilities include chemotherapy, blood products, IVIG, hydration, and antibiotics administration.

The clinic accommodates patients on a daily basis, averaging 75-90 visits, with approximately 30-40 requiring infusion.

A procedure suite is available and supported by anesthesiologists.

Candidates should have experience in pediatric oncology and be familiar with the care and management of ports.

Strong skills in IV administration and monitoring chemotherapy are required.

The hospital offers interdisciplinary support, including respiratory services and social services.

Due to the nature of the work, flexibility in scheduling is important.

The facility adheres to compliance protocols and emphasizes teamwork and communication.

Immediate attention is required to compliance tasks once hired.

This position does not require on-call duty or weekend coverage.
