Instrumentation Engineer

Responsibilities
- Lead effort to maintain, operate, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and emission test equipment at both our San Antonio and China facilities
- Collect data and analyze for the purposes of component and / or engine calibration development and testing
- Continuously improve capabilities and efficiency of engine test laboratory
- Install instrumentation sensors onto UUTs and wire electrical circuits to data acquisition system(s), supporting the cylinder pressure measurement equipment when necessary
- Demonstrate effective departmental / interdepartmental communication and teamwork skills through meetings, emails, presentations, and "face to face" dialogue
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
BS in Mechanical Engineering or higher in a related field of education5+ years of experience is preferredMust have experience in dynamometer test facility operationMust have strong understanding of emission certification procedures and equipment requirements, especially to meet Federal 1065 testing requirementsShould have a basic understanding of CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)Should have a basic understanding of Excel VBA programmingExperience with LabView programming is desired
