About the Role

Join the R&D engineering team developing Medtronic’s Robotic Assisted Surgery platform . This role focuses on assembling, wiring, and maintaining test fixtures used to verify product functionality and support the Engineering Services group. You’ll troubleshoot issues, maintain wiring diagrams, and ensure test equipment reliability for next-generation minimally invasive surgical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble, wire, and maintain test fixtures, jigs, and industrial equipment.

Interpret and update mechanical drawings and industrial wiring diagrams (AutoCAD).

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues per NFPA and company guidelines.

Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) from wiring / assembly diagrams.

Support motion and control systems (e.g., Galil, Delta Tau, Allen Bradley, LabVIEW).

Provide fixture support to internal engineering teams.

Must-Have Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Military background + 5 years relevant experience

(OR 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)

Recent experience assembling / maintaining test fixtures

Ability to read industrial wiring diagrams

Working knowledge of Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures

Troubleshooting skills – mechanical and electrical root cause analysis

Experience creating BOMs from wiring / assembly diagrams
