Candidates must have medical / surgical experience or experience in a similar setting.

Description :

The unit has 36 beds.

There are 10-13 staff members on the unit.

During the day shift, the staff consists of 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, 3 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters.

During the night shift, the staff consists of 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5 : 1 or 6 : 1.

Equipment used includes Hoyer / sit-to-stand lifts.

Electronic medical records are managed using Meditech.

Common procedures performed on the unit include IV medications, peg tube feedings, heparin drips, and wound care.

The ideal candidate will be positive, energetic, collaborative, caring, and dependable.

Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role.

Candidates with certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) will be given preference.

The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
