Analyst, Real Estate Acquisitions, Retail Sector

Nuveen Real Estate is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Retail Sector team as an Acquisitions Analyst in New York. This individual will support senior deal team leaders across the Northeast, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic regions, with additional exposure to transactions nationwide. The Analyst will play a key role in underwriting and evaluating shopping center acquisition opportunities, contributing to investment strategy, and supporting the full lifecycle of real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Underwriting & Financial Modeling : Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and return metrics.
• Investment Memos : Draft clear, concise, and compelling investment memoranda for internal and external stakeholders.
• Market Research : Conduct thorough market and submarket analysis, including demographic trends, competitive landscape, and tenant performance.
• Due Diligence & Closing Support : Assist in coordinating due diligence efforts, including reviewing leases, third-party reports, and legal documentation. Support closing processes and transaction execution.
• Cross-Regional Support : Provide analytical and strategic support to deal teams across other regions as needed
• Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with acquisitions, asset management, leasing, and finance teams to ensure alignment and execution of investment strategies.
