Responsibilities

• Set up lighting, record video and audio, and conduct interviews.
• Utilize cinema-grade videography equipment for on-location shoots across Florida.
• Coordinate, produce, and publish educational and promotional video materials.
• Produce a range of video styles for promotional, educational, and social media use with emphasis on storytelling and videography.
• Conduct client intake communications and assist in project management.
• Perform research, concept development, scripting, and storyboarding.
• Plan and pitch professional video projects for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes.
• Edit high-quality video projects for internal and external use (professional non-linear editing systems such as Adobe Premiere).
• Ensure videos meet ADA requirements and align with UF / IFAS brand standards.
• Serve as a liaison between the video unit and UF / IFAS public relations and social media team.
• Assist with media training for UF / IFAS faculty and staff.
• Stay current on technological advances in video production and science communications; identify industry trends and best practices.
• Travel for consultation, location scouting, and video shoots (approximately 15-20% travel, including some overnight stays).
