LDAP Engineer - LOCAL ONLY
Location : Plano, TX (3 days onsite) - need to be onsite day one
Duration : 6-12 months

Focus is LDAP engineer with cloud dev ops and some java dev. Need to be onsite plano only need to interview at their office.
Responsibilities
LDAP Directory Engineering
- Design, deploy, and maintain LDAP infrastructures (e.g., OpenLDAP, PingDirectory, Active Directory)
- Configure schemas, manage directory trees, and enforce access control policies
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply upgrades or patches
- Implement replication, synchronization, and high-availability solutions
Integration & Identity Management
Integrate LDAP with SSO, MFA, and IAM platformsCollaborate with application teams to optimize directory queries and accessSupport identity federation and secure authentication mechanismsDevOps & Automation
Automate deployments and updates using tools like Ansible, Terraform, PuppetBuild and maintain CI / CD pipelines for directory provisioningMonitor infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, SplunkImplement cloud-native solutions for scalability and resilienceJava Integration & Development
Develop Java applications to test and validate LDAP and JDBC connectionsBuild custom LDAP adapters and connectors using Java for integration with databases like PostgreSQLUse Java-based APIs (e.g., JNDI) to interface with LDAP directoriesSecurity & Compliance
Apply DevSecOps principles to safeguard directoriesConduct audits and ensure compliance with standardsImplement backup, disaster recovery, and incident response mechanismsCollaboration & Leadership
Act as SME for LDAP technologies and best practicesProvide documentation, training, and knowledge sharingLead cross-functional initiatives and mentor junior engineersQualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)Technical Skills
Expertise in LDAP systems (OpenLDAP, Active Directory, Oracle Directory Server)Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Experience with CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.Ability to lead projects and work independently.
