American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT and BLS certifications and 2+ years recent MRI experience for a fast-paced acute care setting.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital on the MRI unit with three MRI scanners (Siemens Espree, Siemens Trio, GE Architect)Mixed shift schedule with 9, 10, and 12 hour shifts; primary schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PMWeekend call required once every 6 weeks (Friday PM to Monday AM) and one day call per weekCyclic scheduling managed by supervisorsCovers adult, geriatric, and some pediatric patients through the ERTypes of studies include MRI with sedation or general anesthesia, MRI on patients with conditional pacemakers, and MRI breast examsNight shift staff must have CT and X-ray experience and will cover X-ray as neededEMR : Epic; PACS : McKesson; experience preferredDepartment is very fast-paced with approximately 3 days of unit-specific orientationFloating to CT or X-ray may be required if working overnight shiftsPerforms advanced MRI procedures, including working with sedated and pediatric patientsLandauer radiation badges provided by the departmentArtificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areasMust work two holidays per year if assignedAll time off (RTO) must be requested up front; additional RTO not approved after initial submissionCandidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this positionReturning employees must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within the past year\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years of recent MRI technologist experience in an acute care settingActive ARRT and BLS certifications requiredState license required if applicable and must be active at time of considerationNight shift candidates must have CT and X-ray experienceMust provide two references, including one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 yearsDriver's license required for verification of permanent address to confirm compliance with 50-mile radius ruleCannot be currently employed in any capacity by a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility (full-time, part-time, or PRN)\n Benefits\n
