The General Motors Global IT Organization is seeking to identify highly motivated and qualified individuals for potential future opportunities as a Senior Software Engineer - SAP Developer. The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in SAP Development to join our IT team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP applications and solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, ensure the successful implementation of SAP projects and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in SAP technologies, demonstrate a proven track record of successful SAP project implementations, exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

What You'll Do :

• Design and Development : Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions, including enhancements, customizations, and integrations using SAP BTP, ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and other SAP technologies (CAP, HANA Cloud etc.)
• System Implementation : Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP projects, from requirement gathering and analysis to go-live and post-implementation support
• Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and performance optimization
• Collaboration : Work closely with functional teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Methodology : Adhere to Clean core guiding principles, adapt cloud-based applications using SAP Cloud Platform tools and technologies and embrace cloud mindset
• Documentation : Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals
• Support and Maintenance : Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP systems, including troubleshooting and issue resolution

Hybrid :

This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to Warren, MI or Austin, TX, three times per week, at minimum, or as dictated by business needs.
